Brooklyn Santiago

Favorite era of hair:  1940's and now. Both eras embrace the beauty of women and their hair in a natural, sexy way.

Favorite book: Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. I read it every couple of years. It's been so fun seeing the book being brought to life with the new series on Starz.

Off work I love to: Visit flea markets, scrounge second hand shops, wonder around hardware stores, fabric stores, knitting shops, craft stores... Basically any place my eyes are filled with color, ideas and treasures to add to my personal haberdashery.

Best celebrity style: Lately, I'm loving everything Blake Lively is wearing. Everything! Aaaaand I would love to own Jennifer Anniston's casual wear closet along with Amy Adams's wardrobe in "American Hustle".

What do I love about doing hair: That I get to create every single day. Create beautiful hair, create confidence in a clients look and their ability to do it themselves, create patterns of color and movement which makes my eyes so pleased (!) all while creating many special friendships with people that I may never have met if they were not in my chair.

With 16 years in the industry, Brooklyn has made her mark as a Goldwell Colorist in the Napa Valley. Specializing in Corrective color, Balayage and everything in between, Brooklyn has become sought out as a stylist who creates naturally beautiful hair, while keeping in mind lifestyles and color commitment levels. Her hair cutting philosophy is, the best hair comes when natural tendencies are embraced and then layer on the fun. However, Brooklyn is problem solver to the core and loves a good challenge for those clients that fight their hair type daily. She draws inspiration for what is new and fresh from on-going education, travel and the arts in a variety of mediums. Brooklyn believes the creative collaboration between stylist and client is a must, however if the words "creative license" or "carte-blanche" come from a client who is truly open to finding his or her best look, she is in heaven!
